Salaria & National Parks
This is an exceptionally beautiful coast-to coast cycling trip from the Adriatic Sea to Rome, starting in Conero National Park and passing by ancient roman ruins and historic sites. Crossing the Appennini Mountains by the Sibillini National Park, we will enter Rome by the use of an ancient roman way, Via Salaria. In Rome we will spend the last day exploring the city’s many marvels by bike!
Like Parks tour we start at one of best places in Adriatic area, a 500mt nature's gift above a wonderful seaside: Monte Conero National Park. First stages bring us to special places like Giacomo Leopardi's house, Loreto important religious place, Macerata where arts are part of the city and Urbisaglia where the biggest archaeological park of Italy show us an ancient Roman village. After a nice immersion in history and culture is time to head on Sibillini Mountains, another National Park where legends and fairies preserve Nature for us. From this magic land we head to Rome along an historical Roman way, Via Salaria, built to commerce salt during Roman Empire. Once in Rome we can spend the last day together pedalling around city's marvels and see history as never before!
